Oyster with Lemon Wedges and Cocktail Sauce

Oil on stretched canvas, 20x20x1-3/8, View eBay Listing
Here it is--my newest (and all-time favorite) painting! I truly challenged myself with this one--not only the much larger size, but dealing with silverware, china, and a shiny, slippery food item (the ever succulent oyster!). I hope you will enjoy viewing this as much as I enjoyed painting it. Bon Appetit!

  1. Very nice, Kristine! You did a great job on the fork. The reflections in the bowl are good, too. Really a great painting! I understand why you are so proud of it!

  2. Thank you, Linda! Lots of challenges, but worth the effort. If someone doesn't buy it, it will look fabulous in my kitchen. Win, win.

  3. Just super!
I like the reflective 'feel' to the china, and the wet slickness to the oyster. And done so much larger! Kudos to you for going outside your comfort zone. I need to do more of that.
    Bravo!
