Here is the final version of my "Happy Trails" painting for Georgetown's Chisholm Trail celebration this fall. The painting is being professionally scanned for a banner that will hang on or near the historic Square. The banner will then be on permanent display at our new high school. Please contact me if you are interested in prints, giclees, or the original painting.

Palace Theatre 2009-2010 Season

Here is a version of an Austin American-Statesman ad for The Palace Theatre in Georgetown, Texas. Do you recognize the painting? I am, once again, thrilled, and am looking forward to attending the upcoming plays and musicals that this incredible theater offers to the Austin area. (Of course, I won't mind seeing my art in the lobby and on the playbills either....)

Summer Art Camp

Hello, Strangers! It has been weeks since I've posted; yet, I've had other commitments with my children--all fourteen of them at summer art camp. This group of students gathered in Fayetteville, Texas to learn the art of quilling (also known as paper filigree). I must say, they were the most precious bunch I've had in my three years of doing this for the Art Guild of Rural Texas. These wonderful pupils, ages 5 through 12, made gorgeous Christmas and birthday cards, bookmarks, "quilled paintings," magnets, and even quilled flowerpots filled with quilled flowers. What a remarkably creative group! Scroll down to see more of my class holding a few of their pieces. I am truly looking forward to next summer's project (maybe advanced quilling???)....
