Honored as Signature Member, Artists of Texas

Yesterday I, along with nine other incredibly talented artists, was honored as a Signature Member for the Artists of Texas.  I am honored to have been included with Barbara A Jones, Nathalie Kelley, Debra Latham, Lee Baggs, Pamela Blaies, George de Chiara, Pat Meyer, Debbie Cannatella and Linda Popple.  Thank you and congratulations to my peers!

Eggplant

Oil on canvas panel, 6x6 -- Commission

Here is the final painting of a five-painting commissioned series.  The eggplants at my nearby grocery store were pathetic; hence photos and two previous eggplant paintings I've done were my references.  (Unfortunately, that means there is nothing for me to eat!!!) The photo of the artwork (above) does not do justice to the rich, deep jewel tones of the flesh;  trust me, though, they are there.
