It may be near 100 degrees in central Texas, but I've already begun my autumn decorating.  You can take the girl out of New England, but you can't take New England out of the girl!  

Pumpkins should arrive in a few weeks, but why wait?  This little charmer won't get mushy!

Since I have little pumpkins scattered throughout my house for the autumn season, I thought I should make use of them in an artistic sense a few times. Happy Hallowe'en!

Pumpkin Pie

This is probably my favorite daily oil painting thus far! Every pumpkin I've ever attempted with acrylics found its way into the trash. This is a keeper and will be used for the month of November in my 2010 calendar! I'm especially pleased with the pie plate--those undulating edges were a huge challenge to draw free-hand.
