Making Waves

We've all seen them:  paintings that look like they were made by a gorilla that sell for record amounts of money in the art world.  After a particularly frustrating day (and seeing some of those astronomical purchase prices via a fellow artist's Facebook post), I temporarily regressed back to the simpler days of childhood.  Using leftover paint on my palette and my trusty middle finger, I created this seascape fingerpainting.  Enjoy.

This could just as easily be called "Fun with Color." It is based on a photo taken by a dear friend from my Williamsburg days, Pyongmu Chon, while he vacationed with his family in Nagshead. How I miss the Outer Banks....
