This broken seashell (possibly a gulf drill shell) was found along the beaches of Galveston, Texas during a family vacation.  Only 2.75 inches in actual size, I decided to paint an enormous realistic version.  I must say, I am pleased with the results and can't wait to find more broken shells on an upcoming trip to the beach.

Crawfish are always in season with this painting of a crawfish boil.  Transport yourself to New Orleans and feast upon freshly boiled and Cajun-seasoned crawfish with garlic, red potatoes, artichokes, and freshly shucked corn on the cob. Don't forget a dash (or twelve) of Tabasco sauce....
