Expecting

I'm really pleased with the skin of this fruit even though specs of white appear in the photo. In actuality, the painting was still rather wet and it was a glisten from the slight dimensionality of the oils. It looks great in person. (The title, by the way, refers to the avocado half and pit reminding me of the shape a pregnant woman. Come to think of it, my face had that greenish tinge at times while incubating my little one....)

As mentioned in an earlier post, here is the other half of an avocado. (By the way, it was delicious--rich and buttery. Now, if I could just get a lobster to pose for me....) SOLD

I actually painted this last month. (Can you guess what the follow-up painting looks like?) It is currently in a gallery in Georgetown. We'll see if it crosses my doorstep when I return to "change out" some works. Please let me know if you are interested in this one....
