Salsa

Oil on Gallery-Wrapped Canvas
20x20

Though summer has ended, autumn has still not taken hold of central Texas.  My garden continues to produce tomatoes and peppers of all kinds.  Also, my little potted lemon tree is, in reality, a lime tree.  What better way to celebrate the vibrant flavors of this produce than to make salsa?

Jalapeno Peppers

Oil, Canvas Panel, 6x6--$50--Contact me for purchase information
Hello, friends! I got sidetracked with my painting due to Spring Break, yard work, and sheer laziness. Eating a few of these peppers, though, will certainly jumpstart things.... Enjoy!

Salsa

Oil on cradled panel, 6x6 -- SOLD
This painting was an absolute joy to do! I took photos at a chuckwagon cookoff a year ago and saw this scene at one of the campsites. It looked so artistic. I hope I did it justice with my painted version.

Pepper Pals

Acrylic on Artists' Panel, 6x6--$75 Purchase from Artist
Opposites attract--I'm a nervous Nellie, hubby is calm; I am a pessimist, hubby is an optimist; I get things done immediately, while hubby procrastinates. These peppers represent our marriage--spicy, yet mild--like many other couples we know....

Red Jalapeno

Acrylic on Masonite, 6x6--$75- Click to purchase
Chile peppers rule in Texas. I especially like the background on this--Until recently, I often painted a horizontal line in the picture to indicate a table edge and background. Now, I am painting gradations from dark to light. It is more of a challenge, but also more enjoyable when I "get it right."
