Salsa

Oil on Gallery-Wrapped Canvas
20x20

Though summer has ended, autumn has still not taken hold of central Texas.  My garden continues to produce tomatoes and peppers of all kinds.  Also, my little potted lemon tree is, in reality, a lime tree.  What better way to celebrate the vibrant flavors of this produce than to make salsa?

Chuckwagon Salsa - Final

Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas, 20x20--Available
My masterpiece! I can't begin to describe how pleased I am with this painting! If no one purchases it, this work of art will look amazing in my farmhouse kitchen. Win, win.

Chuckwagon Salsa - In Progress

Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas, 20x20--In progress
Progress photo #2. I need to "walk away" at this stage. Too much fussing with the oils will muddy some of the vivid colors I've achieved. Tomorrow is another story....

Chuckwagon Salsa--In Progress

Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas, 20x20--In Progress
I always want to kick myself when I do these progress photos. Usually, I don't think about snapping a picture until I am halfway through; then, I chastise my lack of foresight. Regardless, I am working on some large paintings for a gallery showing in Dallas (November and December). This will be included (unless the final product sells before I ship!!!!) :) I'm thinking, "Nice Christmas gift...."
I'll keep you posted.

Can anyone tell me why red bell peppers are more expensive than green ones in the supermarket?

Jalapeno Peppers

Oil, Canvas Panel, 6x6--$50--Contact me for purchase information
Hello, friends! I got sidetracked with my painting due to Spring Break, yard work, and sheer laziness. Eating a few of these peppers, though, will certainly jumpstart things.... Enjoy!
