Solo Show at SEAD Gallery

It is an honor to have my first solo show, "Palate," at SEAD Gallery in  Bryan, Texas.  The show is located in their main gallery and runs through September 10th and the painting depicted on the poster (which I should have scanned -- sorry) is on display.  If you are in the area, please visit.  Warning:  Don't go hungry!

Witchhikers

Oil on Cradled Panel
6x6x5/8

While unpacking my fall decor, I came across this little painting I did in 2009.  I named it "Witchhikers" in a playful attempt to showcase the candy corn "hiking" on my daughter's Halloween witch hat.

Alas, it is time to find a new home for this piece to make room for new art.  I'm selling this on eBay at a sale price.   (Please note:  The white dots are a result of my shoddy photography work--I will reshoot, if anyone is interested....)

Canning Jars - Progress - Day 4

The baby corn has been delivered! Lots more work is necessary, but you get the idea. The lids had some color and detail as well. Background and shadows as well as highlights and details for each jar are still necessary. Time to walk away--too much fussing right now will "muddy" my work.

Canning Jars - Progress - Day 3

More details are beginning to appear. I'm playing with the background. (Longtime followers know the agony I experience with this part of the process!) Still need to tackle those lids and the baby corn....

Canning Jars - Progress - Day 2

The "innards" of the jars are starting to form (from left to right): pickles, peaches, plum jam, tomatoes, and baby corn. My angles/spheres look a bit off. Corrections are forthcoming....
